On average it can take two to three weeks to complete our tasks but more importantly, to successfully market the sale to a broad audience. This time ensures that our new customers, as well as our regular patrons, have the time to work the sale dates into their schedule. We utilize various social media and estate sale websites extensively, plus our sales benefit from the ongoing collection of customer emails from each sale.
During a standard three day sale, the first two are generally full price as tagged. Whatever remains on the third day is 50% off the tagged price. In some instances we feel the need to offer 20% off on select large furniture on the second day. We are very proud to say our sales are near sellouts and have never required a 75% off day. This success validates our familiarity of a wide variety of items and fair pricing, and that our staff supports our consistent business policies and ethics.
Please consult with us before you consider selling an estate vehicle yourself. Our experience could very well generate more money for you. If the car is in working condition, we would lightly detail it and ready it for showings as part of our commission. If it has been garaged for a while, we would have to evaluate basic needs to get it road ready or not, such as air in tires, oil and/ or filter change, etc. Should any of these options be required, we would solicit the nearest service operation to provide you with a written estimate. You would be responsible to pre-pay for that work in order to ready it for showings.
We value our reputation and are confident in our knowledge of what sells at a fair price in today’s market.
From an average, full content home you would receive 60% of the sale proceeds, along with a full accounting of the sale, and we earn our 40% commission. We will offer full disclosure at our initial free on-site meeting, and whatever is agreed upon will be written into our contract.
